πŸ‘€ From busy and burning out, to feeling balanced and content over the summer

The summer holiday season is fast approaching and let's face it, we all know that the mental load and everyday pressures are just going to increase. πŸ“ˆ

Kids will be off school meaning more mess and noise at home while we (or our friends) juggle childcare and work.

Even if you've been quick enough to nab a (rare!) space on a holiday club for a few days, there's still subs money to pay, travel logistics to figure out in between meetings, and lunch boxes to fill.

Oh, then there's all the usual washing and cleaning on top of the day job in addition to those lovely little five-days-of-work-crammed-into-three just so you can enjoy a long weekend.

Doesn't it often feel easier to NOT take any time off?

Instead, we make the lines between work and home all blurry. I hold my hands up to being half-present as a business owner and then half-present as a parent, leaving me feeling like I'm not doing either role well because there just isn't enough time to find balance.

I've finally realised that there will never be enough time.

And yeah, we do have the same 24 hours in a day as Beyonce, but B is a freakin' megastar who probably doesn't spend all her time moving rogue items from one room to the other, digging out discarded socks from in between the sofa cushions, and cleaning up the mess the cats have kicked out of their shitter tray (just me?!).

Adulting can be a LOT sometimes, can't it?

And if one part of life is out of balance then it impacts everything else.

I feel the pressures of life too.

It can come out in ways like stress, worry, anxiety, snapping at people we love, all of which can be early signs of burnout.

And we could all try to get to the root of the problem ourselves. But, often, we know we're heading in the wrong direction but can’t quite put that finger on why.

So we're left multi-tasking and attempting some kind of carioca dance on the treadmill of life while it goes 100 miles per hour.

Side note: doing the carioca on a treadmill genuinely IS one of the marathon training programmes I'm doing at the gym. I'm actually impressed I've not fallen off!

But we don't have to sacrifice home life to build successful careers. And we don't need to compromise on career goals to be present at home.

Getting balance in a busy life can take you from being always switched on to a calm person with everything under control (inwardly and outwardly πŸ™ƒ ).

I'd love to take you through the first step to getting balance in your life before the summer holiday season even starts.

This is a tried and tested approach that's worked for my clients and I know it will help you.

This self-guided approach will:

  • help you see what's important

  • give you insights into where to put your time and energy

  • help you find a moment of relief.

You'll come away knowing how to create more space for the things you want to achieve.

If you're ready to feel calmer, more in control of your day, and feeling like you're achieving your goals and your version of balance, then this is for you:
